March 2, 2017 (Eugene, OR) – XS Media, the leader in regional fiber optic service for the southern Willamette Valley, announced the most affordable gigabit Internet service in Eugene. Starting today, XS Media’s Gigabit business fiber is just $79/month with no term commitments on contracts. All existing business fiber Internet customer accounts with original pricing will be amended April 1st.
XS Media’s new published price is now 70% lower than Google Fiber and 80% less than Chattanooga, TN’s fiber for business. Russell Kaye, Principle of Attic Media said: “We’re paying $55.00 for 75 Mbps in Portland and we never see the advertised speeds. Here we are at $79.00 for 1,000 Mbps, 1,500% our Portland speed. XS Media’s customer service is excellent and that’s why we love them. When everyone else is raising their price, XS Media is lowering theirs.”
Gigabit speeds are capable of downloading a high-definition movie in about a minute, or downloading 100 songs in about 3 seconds. CEO Sabrina Parsons of Palo Alto Software remarks: “It’s just more consistent service, faster speeds and we’ve saved money,” Parsons said. “We don’t have to depend on just Comcast.”
XS Media remains dedicated to increasing economic prosperity and helping create jobs in Lane County, Oregon and remains competitive by providing exceptional service with outstanding support staff to maintain and improve its network.
